Dual Carafe Coffee Makers
Why is a dual carafe coffee maker so named? Answer: because it simultaneously brews two pots of gourmet Arabic or Robusta coffee. Next question: why would anyone want to have two pots brewing at the same time? Answer: because s/he needs to make coffee for plenty of guests, or because s/he owns a small restaurant or café and needs to keep up a constant supply.
Dual carafe coffee makers typically produce between eight and 12 cups of fresh brewed gourmet coffee in each pot. In addition, like most other coffee makers on the market today, they are equipped with features such as a programmable pad that can brew a fresh pot any time of day. You also have a choice of glass or stainless steel bodies and coffee pots.
Today, the largest manufacturers of dual carafe coffee makers are Bunn, the American beverage equipment manufacturers based in Springfield, Illinois. Bunn offer five different models of dual carafe coffee makers: the SH DBC, TF DBC, CDBCF DV, Dual A and the Dual SH. Among other reputable dual carafe coffee makers are the Krups Duothek, the DeLonghi DD1000TCB, the Kitchen Collection (models CEM20P and CM202), the Melitta ME2TMB, 32442, the Kitchenaid KPCM100 and the Caffee Figaro BCO110.
Before you invest in a dual carafe coffee maker, remember that paper filters produce the clearest cup of coffee. Therefore, check that the filters in your dual carafe coffee maker are porous enough to allow free flow of the extracted coffee solubles, and strong enough to keep them from collapsing!

Capresso C1500
This espresso machine/coffee center is lauded by most users and reviewers alike - and I should hope so with a price tag that usually runs around $600. If you have a passion for coffee, though, this might be just the machine you need, and would probably even work well in a small coffee house.
